This is where you have your lower leg folded up and your knees resting on the floor. Knee push ups exert a lighter pressure on your arms than full push ups. You also want to perform the exercise slowly. Also, do as many repetitions as you can, rest for two minutes, and repeat the cycle three times. Do this only once a week in the first 2 weeks. Then you can gradually increase the frequency after that.

If you find knee push ups too easy to perform, then by all means do full pushups.

If this is the first time you are going to be doing push ups, you might find on the next day that some of your muscles are sore, it can be your shoulders, or your triceps, or your chest. Don’t worry too much about that. That just means that your muscles are going through the inflammatory repair process and it’s totally normal.
